Phase 1 — What Closed Beta Means for Institutional Partners

NVNM Chain is live in Closed Beta. This post walks through what's running today, what a Closed Beta partnership involves, and why the institutions onboarding in Phase 1 hold a position later participants won't be able to occupy.

NVNM Chain is live. As of May 2026, the chain is operating in Closed Beta with a select group of institutional partners in private markets, the first vertical of a broader pattern. This post explains what that means: what is live today, what a Closed Beta partnership involves, and why the institutions we work with in this phase hold a position that later participants will not be able to occupy.

A note for readers arriving here first. NVNM Chain is a Layer 2 blockchain built to record cryptographic proofs of agentic activity, what an AI agent saw, what it computed, and what state the world was in when it acted, so that any authorized counterparty can independently verify that work without a vendor sitting in the middle as the arbiter of truth. The full design is in the whitepaper. This post is about the rollout.

A phased rollout, by design

NVNM Chain is being released in three deliberate phases. Each phase widens the set of participants and the set of capabilities, and each is gated on the readiness of the one before it.

  • Phase 1 - Closed Beta - Institutional Adoption: Institutional private-markets partners onboard by application. We are here.

  • Phase 2 - Open Beta - Developer Ecosystem: Developer access opens to the anchoring module and the MCP server.

  • Phase 3 - Alpha - Beyond Finance: Multi-party agentic workflows expand into clinical research, supply chain, regulated AI compute, and the wider ecosystem.

Closed Beta is not a waiting room. It is the phase in which the chain’s first institutional use cases go live, and in which the institutions running them have the most direct influence over what the chain becomes.

What is live today

A Closed Beta partner integrates against a working system, not a roadmap. Live today:

  • The Anchoring Module: registries, records, and hierarchical role-based access control as native chain primitives, exposed through an EVM precompile and equivalent Cosmos messages.

  • The agent access surface: the typed, authenticated MCP server at mcp.nvnmchain.io, through which agents and developer tools interact with the chain without ever surrendering private keys.

  • The first integrated data layer: Inveniam.io, the decentralized data platform for private market assets, already in production with top-tier banks, sovereign wealth funds, and institutional asset managers.

  • Security: validator set and economic security inherited from MANTRA Chain via Interchain Security.

The infrastructure is real. What Closed Beta adds is the institutions who will adopt it.

What a Closed Beta partnership means

Closed Beta is by invitation and by application, and that is deliberate. A small, deliberately scoped cohort lets us do three things an open launch cannot.

You help shape the chain. Phase 1 partners integrate before conventions harden, before registry structures, attestation patterns, and access models settle across the ecosystem. The institutions in this phase are not adopting someone else’s standard. They are helping set it.

You get the team, directly. Every Closed Beta partner works with the NVNM Chain team through onboarding, integration, and first production use. Applications receive a substantive response within five business days, and onboarding is run as a hands-on engagement rather than a self-service signup. A small cohort is what makes that level of attention possible.

Your participation is recorded. Early institutional participants are recorded on-chain and recognized as foundational contributors. That standing is established now, in Phase 1, and it carries forward as the chain matures.

Who Phase 1 is for

The Closed Beta cohort spans the institutions and operators for whom verifiable attestation between non-cooperating parties is a working requirement today:

  • Private equity funds

  • Commercial real estate issuers

  • Infrastructure asset issuers

  • Private credit funds

  • Oracle validators and DeFi protocols

  • AI agents analyzing private asset performance

  • Multi-party clinical trial attestation

  • Supply chain provenance across non-cooperating parties

  • Regulated AI compute reporting

  • Inter-organizational regulatory reporting

Private markets are the most developed entry point, the deepest data layer and the clearest institutional integration paths exist there today. But the pattern is general: the same primitives anchor any multi-party workflow where counterparties cannot rely on each other to adjudicate the truth.

Applying

If your fund, protocol, or operation fits the Phase 1 cohort, we would like to hear from you. The application takes a few minutes and asks what you are trying to put on-chain and what problem it solves. The team responds within five business days.
