NVNM Cite
Proof Your Citations Exist and Were Checked
What It Is
NVNM Cite checks whether the cases cited in a legal document are real. AI tools have caused lawyers to file briefs citing cases that don’t exist. NVNM Cite catches that before filing by checking every citation against public, per-court registries of real published U.S. decisions on NVNM Chain, and can create a permanent, independently verifiable receipt that the check ran on a specific document at a specific time.
How It Works
Check, record, verify. Your document is parsed in memory and discarded once the report is ready; it is never stored and never put on chain.
01
Check
Upload a brief and every cited authority comes back verified, not found, not covered, ambiguous or unparseable.
02
Record
Optionally anchor a tamper-proof, timestamped receipt bound to the document’s SHA-256 fingerprint and signed by your own wallet.
03
Verify
Opposing counsel, clerks and judges can confirm for free, with no wallet or account, that a receipt exists for that exact file.
Why It Matters
One citation that doesn’t exist, whether from a drafting error or an AI tool, can derail a brief, and existing tools ask you to trust a vendor that a check ever happened. With NVNM Cite, each verdict comes from reading NVNM Chain directly, so anyone can replay the same lookup against any node.
It is an existence check only: it does not say whether a case is still good law or supports your argument.
